Notice of Data Privacy Event
Date: June 26, 2026
Women’s Center for Radiology (“WCR”) is providing notice of a recent data event. Although WCR has no indication of identity theft or fraud, we are providing information about the event, the steps we have taken in response, and resources available to potentially impacted individuals to help protect information from possible misuse, should they feel it is appropriate to do so.
What Happened? On April 29, 2026, we became aware of suspicious activity affecting certain systems within our computer network. We promptly took steps to contain the activity and launched an investigation, with the support of third-party specialists to confirm what happened. The investigation determined there was unauthorized access to a limited subset of our network between April 26, 2026 and April 28, 2026, and that certain files within the network were accessed or downloaded without authorization during that time.
We then took steps to secure this information and thoroughly review and analyze the data to determine what information was contained within the files and to whom the information relates.
What Information Was Involved? Our investigation determined that the impacted information varies by individual and may include one or more of the following types of information: name, address, date of birth, contact information, diagnosis/condition, lab results, treating/referring physician, medical record number, health insurance information, and driver’s license, if provided at intake.
What WCR is Doing. WCR takes this event and the security of information in our care very seriously. Upon learning of this event, we moved quickly to investigate and respond to the incident, assess the security of our systems, and notify those impacted by this event. We also provided notice to federal law enforcement and required regulatory agencies. As part of our ongoing commitment to the privacy of information in our care, we are reviewing our policies, procedures, and processes to reduce the likelihood of a similar future event. As an added precaution, we are offering potentially impacted individuals with credit monitoring and identity protection services.
What Individuals Can Do. As a precautionary measure, individuals are encouraged to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft by reviewing account statements, credit reports, and explanations of benefits for unusual activity and to detect errors. Any suspicious activity should be promptly reported to the appropriate health care provider, insurance company, or financial institution. Additional information can be found in the Steps Individuals Can Take to Help Protect Personal Information section of this notice.
