We take pride in being at the forefront for Women’s Imaging in Central Florida. We were the first facility in Central Florida to inform patients of their breast density and first to recommend Breast Ultrasound for women with dense tissue (Breast density is an important predictor of breast cancer risk).

Women’s Center for Radiology is pleased to offer a variety of Ultrasound procedures for our patients. Ultrasound is a medical procedure that uses sound waves to obtain precise images of various organs and tissues. Ultrasound is a safe and painless diagnostic procedure.

Diagnostic ultrasound exams are performed using high-frequency sound waves.  The sound waves are reflected by water and tissue, and then reconstructed to form an image for the doctors.  No radiation is used to perform this exam.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a specialty at our facility, and our ultrasound technicians are certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).  This registry requires continuing education in the field of women’s imaging.  You can be sure you are in competent and caring hands during your ultrasound.

High-definition Imaging

Women’s Center for Radiology has selected the clinically proven Philips Affiniti 70 (high-definition) ultrasound systems for use at our facility.
These advanced machines produce clear images and precise measurements in real-time, giving you the best possible information for your health.
